The pieces that are found under the "jewelry" category is all classified as costume and is made of base metal which is plated with gold or silver coloring. Irritation, allergic reactions, sensitivity, or turning and/or discoloring of the jewelry may occur over time. These pieces are fun and trendy and a great addition to your wardrobe, however, they react differently to each individual. Some customers paint their ear posts with clear nail polish and some need to always buy 18 caret gold- it really just depends on you, how the jewelry is cared for and how it is stored. We recommend that you always keep your metals separated. Mixing them will cause the pieces to turn faster and lose quality. Damaged or broken costume jewelry is non-fixable, non-exchangable, & non-returnable.
Silver will naturally tarnish when exposed to the air, so storing it in an airtight container (ziplocks work great!) will help to minimize the amount of care necessary. To maintain the matte finish, you can use a toothbrush with any white toothpaste, or even bon-ami household cleaner.
A gold filled piece of jewelry is a thick, solid piece of 14K gold, mechanically boned to a base metal. It is strictly a regulated process. All of the gold is actually on the outside, which makes its name a bit confusing! The thick, outer layer of gold make it safe for people with allergies or sensitive skin. Gold filled is a high quality metal without the price of solid gold.
Gold PlatedA gold plated piece of jewelry is a thin layer of gold that varies in thickness due to the fact that it is not regulated. It is done with a quick "flash plating" over a base metal. Gold plating is good process for very trendy jewlery because it will not last very long. It will eventually start to peel and fade. Also called "vermeil" when the base metal is over sterling silver.
Please remove tags with care and cut them off, USE SCISSORS, do not attempt to pull the tags- it will break the jewelry.

Parking at the Shop
We have 2 parking spaces designated for ish Boutique in front of the garage doors on the north side of the building. Please pull in perpendicular and do not block the sidewalk. There is also a 20 minute space available attached to our two spaces and free street parking on the block.
Check out "Eat, Sleep, Beach." Our cottage offers 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, 2 balconies with ocean views, 2 parking spaces, an outside shower and is centrally located in a prime spot in Ocean City. All guest are extended a 10% discount at ish Boutique.

The return will only be accepted on full priced items. Sale or discounted items, books, hair accessories and beauty are all FINAL SALE and may not be returned or exchanged. Please note, processing times are dependent on your bank. Please allow up to 5 -10 business days. The refund will include the value of the items returned, plus relevant taxes, but exclude shipping or return courier costs.
If item is damaged or has a manufactured defect upon arrival, please contact ish within 5 days to make your claim. Please note: items that are damaged as a result of wear and tear are not considered faulty and cannot be returned. Damaged or broken costume jewelry is non-fixable, non-exchangable, & non-returnable. Please use scissors to remove tags, DO NOT pull price tags, it will break the item.
- Any item(s) requested outside of the 14 day time frame may not be returned or exchanged.
- Merchandise must be returned in its original condition and all tags must be attached. Items are to be scent free and cannot be worn, washed or altered in any way.
- Footwear must be returned in its box and with all original/attached packaging.
In order fo us to know how to process your claim, the packing slip must be included with the returned item(s). State the reason(s) for the return next to each item on the packing slip.
Please be mindful to use scissors when removing all tags. ish is not responsible for items that have been broken or damaged by the customer from pulling tags. Photos of the merchandise including the tag will be requested with a damage claim.
